I really need, and want to get my design head back on after a period of reflection after the last module. I have been suffering a lack of enthusiasm for getting back into design as I did find myself not enjoying the design process and struggling to make work I was happy with - spending too long stressing over work I didnt actualy like, or even enjoy making left me exhausted and unhappy. To address then I going to spend some time over the next couple of days on getting briefs written that are more focused on the work I would like to be making. I defiantly want to base my practise on typographic layout for print, I realise I need to take direct inspiration and direction from other designers work much more, instead of making life tough for myself by trying and failing the impossible: trying to be unique in my approach.
I have been looking closely from previous years ISTD briefs and I will rewrite some to closely take advantage of the themes I want to look at,
First new brief: this should be a good short brief to experiment with layout styles and have a range of interesting outcomes
